The Academy invites a squad of 60 students (30 males and 30 females) to join the program, where they attend a once-a-week education and high-performance training day at AFL Max, that is fully funded by the Tjindu Foundation. Students will undertake VET Qualifications in Sport Coaching with SEDA Group (SEDA) RTO 22503 and will have the opportunity to gain employment through AFL Max and Sports Education Development Australia Pty Ltd.
The fully funded Academy comprises of weekly sessions that cover a range of theoretical and practical tasks related to the qualification and will be delivered and assessed by SEDA with expert lecturers from Tjindu, AFL Max and the wider football community, all in the start-of-the-art facility at AFL Max.
The Academy will commence in Week 2 of Term 1 of the 2021 school year with students required to attend at AFL Max 1 day per week for 35 weeks.
